starting a contract job in newham and need a place to stay, going to look at a flat/ house share. can anyone recommend some areas, was looking at canning town as it's close to work and i can get somewhere near a tube station for getting to kings cross.

doesn't need to be a posh area, but i'd like somewhere without parking permits.

say about 6 miles max from london city airport area, so it's an easy cycle into work.

thanks for any advice
james

Mate I cant house share being family etc but live in East Ham
I wouldnt live in Canning town total scum shit hole

Better looking at the newer developments to rent/share
around Silvertown way area.
Beckton a bit depressing aload of new builds falling apart also alot of Polish/russian renting around there

EastHam (Central Park Estate area) is ok more old houses to rent/buy.
Its not a council housing estate. But a very known area to live.

Have you not looked at Bethnal Green its the last bit of East London Leading too Liverpool Street

what I can do is pick up some local papers and send them to you
if that helps, as they will have estate agents in and lettings too.

If you can afford it, a place by the docks, maybe even on the southside of the river around Woolwich. I work in Stratford but commute in, I wouldn't want to live anywhere in the area unless I was down by the docks.

Mile End or Bow is handy for the tube and plenty of flats to rent

Nowhere round there is going to be that nice, probably why i now live in Cambridgeshire
