The wife's Windows 10 PC isn't behaving after the weekend's update. Anybody else got the same issues?
I've seen stuff on twitter to suggest that we are not alone with this.
Not a helpful answer, but I've had no problems so far.
Not be having how? Update was probably from Tuesday last week so I'm half and half updated on my pc's no issues.
It might be worth giving this a read, seems to be mostly BT/Plusnet or Virgin users

That's us. BT customer.
Can't get online.
Open a command prompt as Administrator then type the following:
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
Job done.
yes - 10 has turned my elderly, slow but ok on W7 PC into something that appears to be doing significantly more processing on behalf of microtoss than it does for me and even when happy is noticeably slower. Not a fan.
ps. There appears to be an issue with updates failing and then continually looping(windows installer process always there and using lots of cpu) - I had that a while ago and I think I may have it again.
Interesting. I got an emergency call from a pal last night with a W10 machine that wouldn't pick up a DHCP-issued IP address on WiFi. A static IP address sorted it. I couldn't see anything obvious (checked all the usual stuff) but it did also happen at the weekend.
I'll try the netsh commands later on, thanks.
Had a few minor issues along those lines but seem to have righted themselves.
Have you tried a router "reboot". We've restarted ours a couple of times this last week and it seems to be behaving now.
I had this from the last major update. Some time ago now. The winsock reset does work.
However its only a temp fix. I'm waiting for something better to come along... quickluy.
I had this on several W10 machines (work & home) a couple of months back, internet dropping, some sites unreachable, initially thought some kind of ISP / WiFi issue but eventually rolled back whatever update was last installed which fixed everything. Normally I'd would have expected to find folk discussing the problem on forums, nothing at the time, but this week it is a story on The Register. PlusNet BTW.
You have to roll back within 4 weeks or so before the option is deleted, I still have one machine I left too long which is borked awaiting a full reinstall. It's like the bad old days of an Microsoft update destroying a production environment overnight.
Only issue I've had since the update is Chrome constantly crashing and lagging, IE appears to work flawlessly which is disappointing but at least it works
Interesting, my trainerroad PC in the garage wouldn't connect via its ethernet connection the other day, thought it had got damp or something. It could see the network but got stuck at 'identifying'.
Rebooted rooter and PC, eventually picked it up again.
Yeh, my Logitech trackball has stopped working following the update my laptop doesn't seem to recognise the wireless USB receiver
No problems here. And I'm on BT.
PlusNet here. All good at this end.
My touchpad stopped working straight after but a reboot sorted it. What annoys me is the 'I'll just quickly turn on the laptop and print something... oh no I won't, it's been hijacked by Microsoft (again)'. It's a might cheeky, it's my machine not theirs.
Erm, No.

Cougar ? Molgrips ? 😉
Brother in law is buying two new W10 machines for the office, I will be helping him get them setup. Dreading it really.
No the update is not causing me an issue.
However the language used on the Microsoft Course I am taking the moment has a few issues:

For info - a patch has been released:
