I really like my rapha one that someone bought for me. Feels really nice to use and fits my coffee just right
My favourite was the Singletrack 100 cover by Jo Burt. I was gutted when I dropped that at work!!!
The question seems to be who doesn’t have a favourite mug, and why are they so odd?
I don't and I deny being odd! Its you lot that are weird
Favourite is my "coffee ride coffee ride coffee ride coffee ride coffee rest coffee ride coffee ride coffee beer".STW mug. 2nd favourite is my 2016 Brighton Big Dog. Joint 3rd are bone china (maybe, they're not big thick mugs) 'bean cycling' and 'hairy bikers' cups which are preferred for coffee before cycling to work..
Chunky ol' STW mug. No idea how old, but used every day.

My favourite pint glass (the only pint glass in the house in fact) primary purpose of which is as vessel for drinking water... Is a Wells Bombardier Premium Bitter (straight walled and wider at top so hand fits inside to wash furthest reaches easily). Left behind by previous tenant of a flat we moved into over 10 years ago.
My wife is a compulsive mug buyer, so we've probably got 40 or 50 knocking about. Most of them never get used because they're not great to drink out of, even if they arguably look good. I don't have a single favourite, but a favourite type, we've probably got 4 or 5. Thin bone china. Coffee and especially tea, just tastes better out of bone china than a thick pottery mug. Decent bone china mugs as opposed to cups, especially plainish ones without gopping floral prints on them are surprisingly hard to find.
Several, mostly bikey ones. Though a nice one from York.
Love our collection of Big Dog mugs. Have one or more from every year except the first (as I went there by train and bike and didn’t have any way of carrying it away. Still regret that!)
They are divided arbitrarily but definitively into tea, coffee and ‘both’ mugs. No, I don’t know why but it feels wrong o use the wrong ones.
nearly always my daily driver, unless the dishwasher hasn’t been on.
Say what, now? Is that what things have come to? People are too sodding lazy to rinse a cup out under the tap? Deary, deary me!

I’ve aquired a bunch of mugs over the years, these are my favourites, the ones I actually use all the time, not always for tea.

The STW mug is usually used for soup, ‘cos it’ll take a whole can of soup; The blue and grey striped one came from Tate Modern, from a Mark Rothko exhibition; the Elbow one from a gig, the Batman one from a comic shop in Bristol probably around thirty years ago, and was my tea mug at several places of employment, now it’s more often a soup or hot chocolate mug; the Cazoo mug was my mug at my last job, a great place to work, and who were incredibly helpful through probably the worst time of my life; the Portishead mug came from a gig, it was one of my most used at home, until it fell out of a cupboard and the handle snapped off - I’ve glued it back on, but it’s been retired now, like me; the Talisker one isn’t a tin mug, it’s ceramic, and lovely to drink out of, it was part of a special edition issue of the spirit.
And they all get rinsed out or washed in a bowl of hot soapy water, so always available when needed!

Back in the days where I hosted roleplaying game sessions, I got sick of washing up a hundred mugs at the end of the night ...
Were you roleplaying grumpy Mum of teenagers?
I've always got a favourite mug, until Mrs Reeksy breaks it (accidentally).
The most important characteristic for becoming a favourite mug is that it has to be white inside. No idea why, but any other colour is bad. Dark blue or black is horrific. :negative:
A Tim Hortons Always Fresh coffee mug.
Liberated from the Tim Hortons in Halifax, Nova Scotia back in 2002.
Was negotiating for it when the owner came out and said, "I don't know what he wants but he's causing a queue so give it to him".
Drinking my morning coffee out of it right now 🙂
Finally learned how to upload pics and it's changed again ?
Yep, a Land Rover mug but the handle fell off
Kind of sums up Land Rovers
I did glue it back on but not risking a repeat performance.
Probably should have riveted it back on.

There's always one, and it's usually TJ!
My bright red Friday mug, came with the goody bag I got from my first marathon back in 2013. Only use it for coffee and only use it on the last day of the working week.
And a couple of favourite mugs for tea, both white on the inside of course.
This is my favourite work mug.
Nope still won't let me add photos 🙁
I have fairly weathered STW 'riding, writing and grinding'one that's a really nice balance of size and wall thickness, perfect daily driver.
My 'best' mug is a glorious hand made earthen ware wolftooth jobbie which is almost too nice to use as I'm terrified of dropping it.
For workshop use its all about the stainless steel Yeti ramblers, nice to always have an object to hand that could be used to fend off a rabid dog if required.
I have a ridiculously pricey mug from Highland Stoneware that has been the only mug I have used at home for 2 years now. I dunno how they do it but I've dropped it quite a few times and it just bounces.

It's a simple mug with a good size handle, it has a drink based pun on it and it's my favourite film. Ticks all the boxes.
Only problem is that I prefer coffee to tea.

I have a spare, still in the box if you want it for a small fee... too tiny for my cuppas.
