Was just speaking to the missus and she reckons we might as well head out for a meal tonight as it's the last chance we'll get this year, or indeed perhaps before Easter.

I imagine many people will be staying in for good reason, but anymore of you heading out?

Last Supper and all that.....

No but thanks for the reminder, I nearly forgot to put the sprouts on. They should be perfect on Xmas day

No because because a last huzzah is exactly not what this situation calls for.

Infections are rising, seemingly connected to mixing indoors with other random strangers in groups, often with alcohol thrown into the mix, and it's a good idea to head out for a meal, indoors, with varied random strangers.

Right.

I took the lads out for works Xmas curry 2 weeks ago. Thought this lockdown was coming so got it in early. After last year’s shindig they put us in a separate room . All of them are tested weekly for work , so no worries on that front

Had it. A rare outing with my sister so I treated us to a MacD's.
Single quarter pounder for her, and the new double for me. Metal straw for the milkshake.

Had the inlaws from Nottinghamshire this last week and had Christmas dinner.

Wouldn’t be going out for a Christmas meal though, never have done

My Danish in-laws have been over this week, we won't be seeing them at Christmas so we had a Danish Christmas day on yesterday. Didn't feel christmasy at all, apart from eating too much, but the kids enjoyed it.

Is going out for a Christmas meal a thing? I assumed you meant a work do at a small company.

I watched a live stream of Santa's grotto in Finland earlier whilst have a curry. 3 hours later I had some mince pies. 😃

Except for the fact a test doesn’t cover you for a week.

Anyway had nice night out for a meal and a few drinks, tables well spaced and masks worn by everyone when not at their tables. That’s it for a month now.
