As above - my new Irish one appears to be lost in space/the Irish Passport Office, and I have been told I can get a British one in 2-3 weeks - can anyone confirm?
(I am aware of the one week expedited service).
Hmmm tick. Mine ran out in april, though I've no intention of going abroad, best get it sorted out.

Yeah, it was pretty quick to do mine. Within the two or three weeks quoted, and the system did keep me updated throughout. In fairness, the whole GOV UK thing is pretty decent.
The actual new passport itself is deeply disappointing. Feels low rent and lacks the warm reassurance of having the European Union written on it.
Ordered in May, took about 4 weeks (am living in France).

Mine ran out last year, need to get it renewed just as a second piece of photo ID really.
Never updated that thread. In the end it took twelve weeks and my MP chasing on my behalf.
Friend is a pilot and had his stolen from his car, been a bit of a nightmare getting replacement.
Did mine earlier this year and the new one arrived in less than 2 weeks, which came as a pleasant surprise to me TBH.
