I'm just trying to think up new ways for Mrs North to do what she does, but in a more family friendly way.

We both have demanding jobs, and consequently neither of us spend decent time with our daughter. So, Mrs North - someone who is a trainer (of sorts) in the higher ed/science/NHS world - is thinking about changing the way she works.

I suggested self employment.

Just wondered if anyone has any experience.
