Anyone want to suggest why my personal OneDrive account doesn't sync properly on my work computer? I've tried various solutions suggested by the web, such as logging out and in, restarting the service but it continually sticks on Processing Changes in the toolbar pop-out tool and presents me with old versions of documents, even though the Windows Explorer preview window shows a more up to date version! Online versions are up to date, so it's not an issue from my home laptop to OneDrive cloud that's the problem.
It tends to be just the last one or two files I've worked on at home that are problematical, which is a genuine PITA as they are generally the ones I want to access at work. 😒
Some sort of firewall shenanigans maybe? Depending on your industry it's perhaps not difficult to imagine why an employer might want to block (or not whitelist) personal OD accounts. Ask your friendly local IT department about it.
Yeah, I did wonder that. Seems odd that loads of stuff WILL synch, just not some of the more recent stuff. I'd expect a security issue to be a bit more of a blanket refusal.
Does it give any errors or anything? Might be worth a nosy in Event Viewer, see if it's logging anything when it fails.
As far as I'm aware OneDrive doesn't use any fancy ports or anything but it does require access to a metric shitload of different URLs. If some of those aren't accessible it might cause partial success / failure maybe?
... yeah, it just needs 80 and 443. If you've got Internet access then it should Just Work unless there's something more advanced going on at your perimeter than just port allowing / denying.

Thanks Cougar, the event viewer and port info doesn't really help me much TBH, I was hoping there may be a more sophisticated switch it off and on again process. 😁
