Got a brown woodgrain effect UPVC front door that gets subjected to a lot of sun (well, what sun we do get in N. Wales) due to house position. Its now a bit faded and blotchy. Anyone ever tried painting one, and if so, is there a certain paint/primer thats required ?

Plastikote spray with a plastic primer would be more suitable then paint.
