Ive been ill for five days with the following symptoms:
Joint pain - particularly back and hips
Fever and chills
Sweating in the night necessitating sheet and duvet change
Feeling of having iron filings in my back and chest
Wheezing and coughing
Productive cough. Awful dark green phlegm
Loss of appetite
Confusion and vivid bad dreams
Sounds like flu to me and feels like it but apparently it's not arrived yet?
Anyone else suffering?
I'm in Manchester.
Sounds like pneumonia to me. Had exactly the same symptoms for a few days before getting admitted and put on a drip.

I had a bit of a cold about 10 days ago and thought I'd seen it off. Last week on a biking trip to Majorca it hit me on our last two days. Completely floored me. Back pain is particularly bad in the evening. Don't think it's flu though.
Ive diagnosed myself.
I think it's respiratory syncytial virus with associated bronchiolitis.
Very unpleasant I have to say.
