So, I’ve just replaced the battery in the wife’s car (the power steering was taking a while to kick in on cold mornings) and I was wondering if anyone knows if the old one has any value or if it should just get dropped into the local recycling centre on the next trip to the forest?

Yes, about £8-10 depending on size.

Bugger, I've just given a 60 kg lead acid leisure battery away.

Ta, guess I better hunt out the local scrap yard then.

DaveSport, I think if mine weighed 60kg I’d be happy to let someone come and take it off my hands, even if I didn’t get anything out of it.
