hot waters stopped working in the kitchen. works fine in the bathroom. just no water at all through the tap. its a mixer type.
ive taken the cap off and am left looking at a brass splined end, a brass clip, and a brass nut? ive isolated water to that tap, taken the retaining clip off, and tried unscrewing the nut. but it doesnt seem to want to turn, and is more likely to rip the tap from the sink if i give it any more oomph.
any knowledgeable chaps on here to help me along?

sorted. gave it a bit more oomph in the end and got it off. seemed to work ok so put it back together and works fine *shrugs shoulders*
