Any ideas for a present for less than £20 for a beginner open water swimmer? Cheers

Goggle - dark ones for sunny days. If they do some training in the pool then various floats / pull bouys / gloves - paddly things - have a look on wiggle

wetsuit lube to stop chaffing

Turn up to an estaury, check the tides, don a wetsuit.. keep an eye on your friend whilst they go swimming.
