I know there are a few electronica fans on here.

Jon Hopkins has a new album coming soon and what promises to be a pretty special launch party.

Hell yes. I'm going to see Ulrich Schnauss and Marconi Union tomorrow night 😀 I also saw Jon Hopkins at Kings Place when he was touring his most recent album, was fantastic.

Soundninjauk you have no idea how envious I am. I really wanted to go to that gig but had no-one to go with. I am still toying with heading to London by myself and trying to get a ticket on the door.

He's a good rider, didn't really fulfill his potential though.

He hasn't finished yet, hes just taking a year out to allow his injuries to heal I believe.

Do it Mister P! I'm going to the Village Underground on my own in a couple of weeks. Happen to be on a training course when Steve Mason is playing there. 1 ticket please 🙂
Jon Hopkins album should be good.

I had lunch at the cafeteria in his medical school once.

Absolutely love the Diamond Mine album he did with King Creosote, although I don't think the album would be significantly worse for taking his contribution away. It's quite subtle and it was several listens in before I even learnt that Jon Hopkins was an electronic artist.
