IANAD but my brother is married to a dental technician. Whatever the problem, her advice is always the same: go see a dentist.

IANAD, but I post on the same forum as someone whose brother is married to a dental technician, and so I feel well qualified to advise.

Tie one end of the string round the tooth, and the other end round a door handle. Be sure to video it and post the results here.
