Looking for smartphone phone better than samsung galaxy s2 in terms of specs but have to be £15-18 monthly pay in 24mos contract, im not bothered with minutes or data. There are so many out there now that makes choices very difficult. Thanks.
I am in the same boat as you with an S2.
To be honest it currently does okay for what I need, but if I were to change then I would go for a Motorola moto g.
I remain to be convinced that it would be am massive upgrade.
I like to have the iphone5c. But i'm saving for a carbon wheelset and bars and Ti saddle and RF Next cranks 😐
Moto g on a basic giff gaff would work out at £12/month over 24 months but you would need to find the £100 up front. Should be a reasonable upgrade over an s2 in terms of performance. Won't be a massive change, though.
This. £12.50 or £15/mnth depending on how much data you go for.
You can buy the phones through Giffgaff as well now - they have a tie in with one of the peer2peer lending sites, so you actually buy the phone separately. I got a 4g Sony xperia for £50 up front, about £8 a month on the phone side and then a Giffgaff card, I think total cost is £18 / mo dropping once phone is paid, and gg have lower call contracts so you could do £15/mo if you wanted.
My nephew has the moto g. My old phone inherited by my son is an s2. The s2 is rooted and running KitKat and there's not a massive difference between the two of them. So I wouldn't expect a massive jump in performance. You may be better off getting a second hand s3/s4 or HTC 1. But I'd agree go sim only with giffgaff or similar.
Got the daughter iPhone 4s on o2. 18 quid a month 500 mins unlimited text. And 500mb of data which if the limit is reached just switches to basic so no extra charge. Thought it was a bargain myself.
Nexus5 for £14.50 takes some beating...

Samsung galaxy ace on orange for 12.50 a month.
N5 on T-Mobile with 500 Min and unlimited texts and internet for £18.99pm looks to be the best deal on that link above.
