RIP Des
Made me laugh, thanks for posting Simon.
Rest in peace Des.
He was a big part of TV in the 70s and 80s when I was growing up. Magnificent work with Morecambe and Wise
Honestly thought he was already dead. Seemed like a nice bloke. RIP
Awful, mediocre, overpaid, dull.
Sums up the awful 70's and 80's TV "personalities".
Awful, mediocre, overpaid, dull.
The original inbred was quite a good ride though.
🤣🤣🤣
I had to put my coffee down, a great clip of pros at their best
You're in at number 3, Brant.
RIP Des
Awful, mediocre, overpaid, dull.
Sums up the awful 70’s and 80’s TV “personalities”.
Ooh, get you.
Ooh, get you.
What?
I am not entitled to an opinion on a TV entertainer?
He was ****ing terrible. Terrible middle of the road light entertainment.
Stole so much more than just a living. Made millions.
I didn't wish him any harm but I couldn't care less he passed away.
Stole? how's that then?
Stole? how’s that then?
As in the expression "Stole a living", meaning someone who has been grossly overpaid in regards to their actual skills or talent.
I've no idea how much he was paid, I'll take your word for it. He did get huge TV audiences, granted probably middle of the road stuff, but still, sad to see him pass.
Well, this has been an enlightening thread on well known personalities.
And I'm not talking about Des.
As in the expression “Stole a living”,
Like pro soccer players you mean?
“Stole a living”
He sold around 16 million records.
That's hardly slacking. He was an entertainer. As a 15-25 year old, he wasnt trying to appeal to you, his audience was the late middle aged, who loved him.
This is a lovely tribute
