I love SatNav and during the floods last year it got me home by using the "this bit is blocked, take me another way" thing but how do idiots keep doing stuff like this?
Makes me wonder, could he get points? Hope he gets a ban.

Jeez, I rode down there about 4 weeks ago. Was he going up or down it?

Must have been up as the top is too narrow. What an utter mong though?

Someone should take his "defective" sat nav on the same route. I doubt that it honestly had a public footpath marked as a road. More likely is that someone that daft is also too thick to work his sat nav properly.

The caption says a BMW. Pretty much what I'd expect from a Beemer driver, and I'm damned sure his satnav doesn't show a footpath or bridlepath. ****wit, my contempt for morons like that knows no limits.

My Tom Tom tried to take the car down a bridle way yesterday, I didn't follow it you'll be glad to know, how some people do stuns me. Even a rational primary school teacher i know had to be rescued from a green lane by a tractor driving a ford KA. It does something to your mind - removes is by all accounts.

Looking at the Roehamton Gate example that djglover posted it is fairly obvious that the navs are probably saying "Turn left ahead" for the road and people/muppets are turning left immediately instead.

I'd bet the vast majority of sat nav "mistakes" are just user error.

Stanavs don't make mistakes, they are an aid. It's the stupid people who rely on them that do that.

The ****wit in the original post; typical BMW driver, shellsuit and all.
