My wife's wildfire s has suffered terminal damage after a close encounter with the baby's beaker so she needs a new phone. It needs to do the normal stuff + gmail, google calendar and facebook.
Does anyone have any tips for a cheap handset to go for? Preferably not a touchscreen, they are a little fragile for the lifestyle.
Alternatively I have an old Nokia N95 which she could use but it needs unlocking (from 3 so ~£35) and I've heard that the google calendar synchronising doesn't work very well. Anyone have any experience of this?
Cheers ...
"Cheap" is relative. What's your budget?
Orange San Francisco / Monte Carlo / other Android handset off eBay?
Ideally <£50 but prepared to go a bit higher if that's not realistic.
Bump for the lunchtime crew ...
Possibly look for another wildfire S sim free or on pay as you go from carphone as all there payg phones are unlocked and ditch the pre pay sim
I'd be surprised if it cost more than £10 to get the N95 unlocked at an independent phone store.
Samsung Galaxy Ace - £70 from Tesco. Not £50 (and touch screen) but a decent phone for not much £££'s.
