Sad but lots will say it needed to happen. My sister's dog had issues with his back. Basically in pain if held by the hips. Her other halfs niece grabbed him by the back end, dog yelped and snapped at her jumper. Sister is back from the vet minus Murph the smurf.

It may have been the wright thing but it doesn't make it any easier to do .
