What was it then, a love letter?
yes it was quite clearly her choice to resign and quite clearly no one forced her hand whilst allowing her to "save face" by flying her half way round the world to resign as she really had just had enough and it was her choice....my bad.

If you believe that can i introduce to my Nigerian friend,a prince, who needs a wee bit of help?

@ tj and sackings Carl sargeant was sacked from the welsh assembly last week but given his suicide lets show some respect please

Corbyn sacked some m shadow ministers over Brexit
Ever reshuffle ever
I am sure Google will be better than my memory

Its fair to say most are made to/chose to resign but there are still sackings

Nice to see Chewie back in the fold. I mean, come on, the Jamby login was nearly totally ****ed up by trying to defend this bunch of clowns. At least the Tory meme-generator got the right login eventually to try to put up some kind of resistance.

That is unless Jamby and Chewie are for real, in which case.......Jesus wept.

This bunch of tosspots are unraveling fast - I doubt May is going to last the month.

Face it, swivel-eyes, your pyrrhic 18 month 'victory' is nearly over.

Get in there!

Back of the net!

Yes and remember if it's a tory then they are hard done by, witch hunt, hounded by the press. If it's labour then string them up before we get to find out what has happened.
As for standards of behaviour they are clear and laid out for all ministers to abide by. Being a government minister elevates you to a position where you are actually representing the government with your actions and should be clear about what you are doing.

Hopefully about 3ft of rope on a 12ft ceiling, he’s utterly self serving and has zero useful purpose apart from medical cadaver purposes

You do know they are politicians don't you?

If you think politicians can be saints, regardless of party, then you might want to re-evaluate your views on them.

PM Theresa May is the Best the British people can have at the moment as the alternative is unthinkable.

Besides, the more you scrutinise the politicians the better they become so from now on ALL of them will up their gamesmanship regardless.

IMO PM May will be PM for a while because the alternatives are weak from all sides (including Tories).

PM May can easily be PM for three terms and I support her because there is no one better than her at the moment.

Nobody wants saints just people who know the rules

Once the skeletons come out, and we fire some more etc.

Government is on the rocks, it wasn't even stable before all this started.

Do you think Labour can better the game? I doubt so. They will get the same treatment if not worst because they are in dilemma now due to the working class supporting Brexit. One wrong move Labour will be gone forever to be replaced by another "working class" party.

So who do you think can do a better job other than PM May? Suggestion please.

All parties have skeletons regardless.

Government is stable as far as I am concerned. Very stable.

What you have just witnessed is just another normal day in politics being scrutinised.

The oppositions trying to bring down the government are just doing their jobs.

20%? more labour voters supported remain than Tory ones though

its definitely a dilemma but as support for brexit is falling, especially as the negotiations fall apart, thers still hope

Brexit was always an idea but no one at Vote Leave, Farage, Hannan, Johnson, Gove, Mogg, Patel ever explained how it would happen, what the process would be & what it would cost

May tried to embrace Brexit & its dragged her government to the brink of collapse

Genuine LOL
Minority
Dropping Ministers
Massive internal division
Backstabbing, briefing against and infighting

It's stable compared to perhaps Italy but not anywhere resonable

The oppositions trying to bring down the government are just doing their jobs.

Nope this is suicide.

My short list, plenty others would be more competent - The PM has a massive record of incompetence in office so it's not a surprise.
Corbyn
Stamer
Hammond
Cable
Davidson

Usual suspects so no surprise there.

C'mon surely you have better candidates than the ones listed. Who?

May needs to stand down if for no other reason than her own health.
Hammonds the only credible Tory alternative the rest are incompetent or egotists or both.

Corbyn just needs to keep his nose clean and he’s in.

Hammonds is good as MP but cannot be PM.

Corbyn will forever wait in the wings but it will be a step so close yet so far.

Like I said British people Do Not have the alternative.

The alternative will only appear after at least 10 years later, because they are not ready yet at the moment.

Genuine LOLs at Chewie.

Holding the line bravely, looks around "bugger, everyone's already surrendered".

Too busy fighting a lost battle to realise it is, well, lost.

Maybe a niche slot at the end of Fighting Talk doing a 30 second defend the indefensible every week, week in, week out. He could become a kind of cult figure, a General Melchett for the Brexies.

Since I managed to get the killfile working, my forum experience has improved by 97%.

I'm thinking of organising an office sweepstake by putting the names of all the cabinet members into a hat. Boris or Damien next?

If you don't like being sneered at, don't make yourself look ludicrous my defending totally indefensible positions.

I'll say one thing for Priti Patel, though, she sure can fake a smile!

Boris or Damien

itll be a curveball...

Hammond is secretly the Croydon Cat Killer

Innevitibly The Disfgraced Former defence Secretary Liam Fox will get caught up in some sort of dodgy dealings

(check out @Annaisaac on twitter Telegrapgh journo who was on the trade mission to Uganda with Patel & Fox- shes tweeing the script to an episode of the thick of it with DFDS Fox as Peter Manion MP

Ever the optimist, Dr Fox decided to do what we all do if we feel something has been lost on an aeroplane: he got up from his seat in business class and carried out a thorough sweep of all the rows. Perhaps she had boarded early and sat in a quiet corner, he reasoned. It is an image that will stay with me – Dr Fox hunting through the seats for his ministerial colleague as if she’s a missing Gameboy.

Alas, no Ms Patel in sight, and the plane was about ready to leave. We all knew about Ms Patel’s inclination for misadventure abroad, but this took the biscuit.

from torygraph via guardian)

Whats really interesting is that huge smug grin that Patel had when she'd just been fired, I reckon she has something on May, the Israel stuff weve been told is not the whole truth

She has. Patel is a highly influential member of the European Research Group, chaired by Suella Fernandes and comprised of roughly eighty Tory Brexiteers. The ERG is very secretive, there's no list of members in the public domain and they even have their own whipping system.

Conservative Home

Those eighty members have enough collective power to force a leadership challenge, you can bet that the conversation between May and Patel when along those lines.

You may not like my response but why didn't they let the last person standing? After all he (the Japanese) was the only person left. What could he do? Why were they (American) so afraid of the last person?

If you were the last person (with strong ideology) what would you do?
