This should go straight to the start of her run:

Double ouch!

Amazing how she could be sitting up after that, i would be spread across the hill in shattered pieces!*

Actually i wouldn't because i'd never be on the bloody hill in the first place...

OUCH! That was very similar to a crash I had at Les Deux Alpes a couple of years ago, my life flashed in front of me! Had to get helicoptered off with dislocated shoulder and broken ribs. Not a good memory! ๐Ÿ™

She's come away with the bronze after the favourite Lindsay Vonn crashed out.

She did well to recover that, as she approached the roller she hit a smaller one that pushed her onto the tails and she knew it. You could see as she took off she was clawing her way forward - otherwise she'd have been challenging the FLying Tomato for a double double kamikazee sort of backwards deal which probably would have ended badly. She saved herself there...

She was going so fast at the top of the course, very impressive. The crash didn't look hugely terrible though.

worth it for the music alone
[url]

includes the herminators crash and some well dodgy people wondering over the downhill course whilst the race is in progress

Bunnyhop, I think you might be confusing the race where Paerson fell (the downhill) with yesterday's combination.
Vonn crashed out in the combo, and she wasn't the biggest favourite.
And I am with Samuri, the crash was bad but not toooo bad compared what I have seen before (e.g. the crash Kato mentions). Looks bad if you're not watching downhill often tho.

I think what's impressive is how bad the crash could have been if she hadn't somehow managed to save it, amazing skill and committment and HUGE thighs!

From Rocketdog's vid - how the hell does the 3rd guy ski out of that Avalanche? Jebus, he must have ski'd past the reaper in that gully...

Is it me or do the medics just look a bit to casual?

Oldgit - One of the Geologists in the office here used to ski cross country for the US and he said when they fall the pride is the big thing that affects the skiers and as long as they are breathing, not KO,d or in obvious distress the medic support teams will just listen to the skiers wishes and leave them to it.

orangina - bit late in coming back to you, however I was impressed that the day after the crash, she not only skied but got a medal.
Always confused in life but as a huge skiing fan and watched every race so far I probably didn't make myself clear ๐Ÿ™‚
Yes agreed that Vonn isn't as good at slalom as Anja.
