My HRM has gone on the blink, and to be honest it was quite unreliable anyway, so I've been having a look at new ones and see there are quite a few HRMs straps that can talk to your Android/iPhone and come with an app.
Anyone got any experience with them and able to recommend one?

got a topeak panobike one. topeak app is crap but it works perfectly with strava etc. on the iphone.
pairs up pretty much instantly and rarely misses a beat.
phone has to be in a side pocket rather than a central pocket for it work consistently. bluetooth doesnt work well through the body...
