Hi all
Currently on an Andriod phone but looking to go back to Apple. Question relates to the SIM card. Can I simply take out the SIm from the current phone and stick it straight into the Apple or do I need to request a new SIM.
I'm currently with Vodafone and would buy the phone outright. I have a great (for me) monthly deal that allows 500 mins of EU calls for peanuts (and of course have the free roaming still). I am trying to avoid having to give VF the chance to tell me that my contract terms have changes and therefore remove the roaming and other benefits.
Any ideas?

You don't need a new sim but at least in the past they needed to update a setting network side as the way data is pushed differs from android to apple.

Pretty sure the phone sorts this out. I pay for 5 phone accounts in my family - a mix of iPhones and Android - the supplier (Tesco Mobile) has zero idea what phone each SIM is in.
For all practical purposes these days a SIM is a SIM. Assuming the handset isn't locked to a network, your only concern is whether it'll physically fit (which it should between two modern handsets).
You might need to enter APN settings manually for mobile data but shouldn’t really. Just let the phone install the network profile when it asks.
Some networks do ask if you’re going to use the sim in an iphone, I’m not sure why, but if there’s any issues they’ll be able to sort it. No need to change your contract.

Can't remember the reason - something to do with iMessaging and Facetime I think. But, I definitely had to tell my phone Co I had swapped to Apple and they did something network side.
This was a few years ago though now and things may well have changed.
Size of sim was main concern I guess - both current phone and iphone that I want state nano so that bit should be fine I guess.
