Asking here as my fellow STW subscribers respond better and more promptly than on the T5 forum 8)
A few more questions:
Planning on converting a T5 panel to a Kombi. Is it possible to install 3 x single rear seats like the new T6...[url= http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112360729896?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ]linky[/url]...rather than the usual 2+1 seat configuration?
I know I need to strengthen the seatbelt areas and the floor plates to accept the detachable mount kits...but will a panel T5 accept 3 x individual seats in the 2nd row?
It's the same chassis so space wise shouldn't be an issue, both have the same integrated centre belt so not an issue there - I'd say it would be a fairly straightforward job. I'd look at getting the sliding rails fitted if the t6 still has those.
But of course the fabric won't match so you'll end up spending a fortune on a custom retrim front and back... 😆
Edit: and unless you are Mr. Macaskill, there's a thread over on the t5 forum about this.
