 Seen it circling around outside then wallop! Left an imprint of it's face and wings in my dirty windows!

It soon picked itself back up and flew off!

Maybe like us, the OP has a room with windows on opposite walls and birds occasionally think it's a through route.

Probably trying to get into the kitchen to mate with the above mentioned Teat.

Owls are increasingly try to get indoors to mate during winter months because outside it’s quite simply “too wet to woo”
