Another one to say it is you, TJ, who is missing the point. There exists a thread which you don't like and instead of ignoring you choose to try and disrupt it like a spoilt child. You have no constructive argument except that you don't like it.

I don't think any post at all in all 400+ has proved TJ wrong. I think a few have arbitrarily decided that they've proved him wrong, but they haven't.
I'm on the fence about the A&A - in itself, purely as a thread subject, there's nothing wrong with it - but week in, week out, it turns into a "just how far can I go with this" (of which I've been guilty myself, but in an ironic post-modern sense, don't you know 🙄 ) and inevitably, somebody posts a picture of a random hottie on a bike to upset the apple cart. Somebody else comes in with borderline sexist comments - often I'm guessing, just to wind TJ up.
Then Uncle TJ can't help himself - in he comes with the Beth Ditto pics and everybody jumps on his ass. What do you think is going to happen? TJ - say nothing? Where have you been all this time? Then we get a big row, people start calling one another names, it all gets very unedifying and then gets closed.
The forum had grown out of the A&A thread for months - even Flashy had given up introducing it each Friday. I didn't miss it - as much because it had just got boring as for it turning into a childish bun fight.
This whole thing has become very undignified. A few of his detractors have shown themselves up a bit actually - I'm seeing some on this thread in a poorer light - I don't think there's been overt misogyny shown but certainly some latent lack of understanding of what sexism and misogyny are.
The forum is not the better because of the A&A thread. Nor is it any better for this one either.
I agree dd, they haven't proved him wrong, but many have raised points he has not addressed and asked questions he has not answered. In fact he is probably absent as he considers the inconsistencies in his argument

And here is one of the main points, it's the job of the mods to decide what is appropriate or not, everyone has the right to an opinion and all threads have the right to exist, if you feel strongly enough about a thread you have the right to report it, TJ has overstepped this by deliberately trying to sabbotage the thread and brought much of the reaction upon himself.

congratulations TJ, this has made me chuckle so much in that with his opening comment TJ has managed to wind so many of you up pure genius. Time and time again TJ’s comments appear to wind so many up. I would of thought by now the penny would of dropped that his comments are by no way flippant but more to get the optimum reaction which he always achieves and must be laughing aloud.
