where have they al gone? Watching the downhill world cup on the telly noticed a distinct lack of riders from the US.
Doesnt seem that many US riders on the xc curcuit either.
Back in the day when i started riding the yanks were everywhere. What happened? Shimano aside there seems to be plenty of US components and frames(I have one myself)

A) the NORRBA series is more presigious than our NPS, so less incentive to spend a fortune leaving the country to race. Not so bad for the enuropeans as 80% of the tracks are 'local'.

B)There are a few Yanks, cant remember the name but theres a young lad gettign quite a few top 10's, just not podiums yet.

C} role models, would british downhill be the way it is without Peaty and Warner? The French without Nico etc etc etc. The ammericans have lacked someone since Palmer.
