I figured this maybe deserved it's own thread for a few days. Post the best deals you find below? Bike or non bike both fine!

Edge Explore 2 is £180, which isn't bad.

It is bad when you consider that, as a Full STW member accessing the discount page, you can buy the Edge Explore 2 direct from Garmin for £160!

I was looking out for the Edge 850 but maybe that's still too new to discount by much. And as mentioned, you can get the Explore 2 cheaper than that via STW anyway.

A lot of Garmin smart watches are on sale at 30+% off though. I know nothing about Garmin smart watches, but maybe it's a good deal for someone...?

Edit - seems if you put smart watch as one word - smar****ch - , it's in breach of the swear filter!

Are we still buying stuff from Amazon? Especially given Bezos funneling money to Trump via that Melania film and god knows what else, including the tax dodging

on the smar****ch theme

Amazfit T-Rex 3 Outdoor Smar****ch 48mm AMOLED Display, Offline Maps & Navigation, 6 Satellite Systems Dual Band GPS, 27 Days Battery Life, NFC Payment, 170 Sports Mode, 45m Freediving for Adventure : Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

(208 from 280)

ive had the original t-rex since release, it still lasts 2-3 weeks between charge, does more than a good enough job as a rugged smart watch, doesn't get used for tracking many rides nowadays however due to having a garmin computer

I'm not, 6 years since I quit the habit. Stuff Prime Day, I'm saving loads by not buying anything at all from Amazon.

Should be good deals on the Fenix 8 range as the Fenix 9 is expected in 3 months or so.

Lego Death Star 19% off (£175) and interest free up to 10 months, so my wife tells me which I've taken as approval to buy.

As for boycotting Amazon, the search function and the unrelated rubbish it returns often stops me buying more because I can't actually find what I'm looking for.

Exploitative practices within the platform which pit sellers against each other both to drive down prices and drive internal advertising. Basically as a seller you have to pay for everything and compete with everyone else in a pay per click style.

That's why I try not to buy from Amazon.

I prefer to buy from my local shop. Unfortunately it only sells eggs, potatoes and rapeseed oil.
