[Closed] Amazon Music Unlimited and Spotify musings...

Several months ago I caught up with the 21st century and joined Spotify and started paying the £9.99/month subscription, using mobile devices and PC's to stream and cast to TV and attached AV system, or speakers in workshop, etc. Really like the fact that you can start streaming music to somewhere and then change the tracks on another device, etc. Whatever device you use it picks up where you left off on whatever other devices you've used, etc.

Thought I'd have a go at saving a couple of quid a month by trying Amazon Music Unlimited on a trial basis (free for a couple of months and then £7.99/month) and whilst (I think I'm right in saying) in theory it has a larger selection of music I just find the interface a step backwards. Most frustrtatingly if I start following an artist using the mobile app I can't seem to find them on the Windows 10 app - or am I missing something somewhere? Doesn't seem to have any of the features I like

I think in all honesty paying the extra couple of quid for Spotify is well worth it!

I've just switched the other way, after my kids (young adults) telling me for ages to ditch Amazon music. Spotify app is way, way better and (to my ears) the quality seems a bit better

I've tried Amazon, Google Music, Tidal, Deezer and Spotify (I think that's it).

I like Spotify best.

Spotify family for me.
6 Spotify premium accounts for £15 per month.
Ideal if you can get family/friends to share the cost.

Thanks all, sounds like I'm not the only one dissatisfied with the Amazon offering. Back to Spotify sooner rather than later!

Me as well. Started off my streaming life on Amazon as it was ambit cheaper with prime but Spotify has handy suggestions that are usually bang on. I get to discover some new and old music.

Started with deezer.

Then google play music.

Then spotify.

Now on youtube music.

Spotify has the best app and best mixes. YouTube music however has all those rare tracks. All those live tracks and all those remixes. Wins for me.
