i'll be the first to admit to not knowing much of the man's music,but i was blown away when i saw him in the woodstock film on channel 4 a few years ago.
the guy was a fantastic guitarist.

Another one gone--great musician. Hasn't been in the limelight a lot in recent years, but back in the day was great.
I have a ticket to see him at the Paris Olympia next month, was really looking forward to seeing him, sad news.
Gutted to hear that, during my student 60s obsession I must have watched and rewatched that woodstock set a hundred times, and 'Undead' is one of my long term favourite albums.
One of my greatest regrets at Uni was loving the band but not knowing Alvin Lee was the name of the guitarist, I passed up on tickets when he played Edinburgh 🙁
