Or eating deep fried fish without the chips, I suppose
Yeah, much more like that. Or eating the chips but leaving the ones with skanky bits or too much grease. (ie. it really doesn't matter)
Which is always an option, but why should the default setting be shuffle?
It isn't. It's a setting you can toggle.
Don't mind Adele. I'd rather my teen daughter listened to her and the likes of Taylor Swift who write you know, actually songs than most of the teenie chart stuff which just sounds like it written by committee and produced by AI. Perhaps she's popular because she can impart some emotion in her lyrics, voice and musicianship? You can hear imperfections in the records and it's not autotuned to death.
Not bothered by whether she's nice or not or her accent to be honest. I sometimes think if we were so obsessed with musicians looks and image in the 70's/80's whether bands like Queen or the Pogues would have ever have existed.
Oh.. and shuffle can get in the sea. It creates an echo chamber. Broaden your horizons. Let a record breathe. Some of the best music ever made is lesser known album tracks.

Spotify user here for at least 10 years and I've never had the default setting as shuffle??? Is this only something non paying users had?
It’s music to drink lukewarm lambrini to while crying and updating your Facebook status to single because Darren has left you again
Seems to be quite popular
I blame Darren
Darren?

I've used it since seeing on here as an invite only thing. I pay for a family account - around £17 per month and until recently I had to deselect the auto shuffle. Trouble is, I would never remember until I was expecting the second song of an album to play and another song randomly started playing.
The only track of hers I can remember
There's lots of music I don't like but luckily there's a lot I do like.
So, unfitgeezer - fess it up? What do you like - a bit of Floyd (smashin, nice ;-))?
Her music is screeching self obsessed awfulness to my ears but my wife likes her and I love my wife so I have taken the time to ask her why she likes it
Basically my wife works very hard and has pulled herself up from undemanding non university parents to MBA level and a significant salary (far higher than mine). She is very much a ‘woman’ and will wither anyone on the vine who says women should ape men - women have the skills to make their own destiny and apparently Adele speaks to her..
