Which actors for you, give THE definitive performance that’s never going to be bettered - you couldn't imagine anyone else playing the part, whether it’s a one off role or interpreting an established personality?

Heath Ledgers joker only gets the acclaim it does because of his untimely death, if he was still alive it would be forgotten.
I'd disagree. Heath made that film, the acting was astounding. Nickleson was good because he is but nowhere near as good as Heath.
I'd also agree on the Bond front. Anyone who has read a Bond book will know that Daniel is Bond. Bond is not the humorous, nice guy that Connery and the others depict. He's a very dark character, bitter and hardened by death. Women are merely distractions to be thrown aside once used, men are enemies (in which case they die) or friends in which case they get used.
Aristotelis Savalas as Kojak
the bloke who played Rorschach in Watchmen...............**** awesome
Agree ton - proper little nerd that kicks everybody's head in - Jackie Earle Haley.
I'd disagree. Heath made that film, the acting was astounding
AMEN.
Totally agree for Joan Hickson as Miss Marple and David Suchet as Poirot. Now must add:
Sharon Gless = Christine Cagney
Arthur Lowe = Captain Mainwaring
Penelope Keith = every character she plays
Michael Caine as errrr, Michael Caine, in every role he's played.
Err no. Sorry.
He's only ever played one, maybe two, characters. The rest of the time he's played Michael Caine. He's the same in every film he's in.
