Being told where you can or cannot go based on which side your ancestors were on at the Battle of Hastings.
Free will and being allowed to have your own ideas
House of commons and House of lords
Out dated twaddle
Definitely private motor cars.
onesies
Definitely private motor cars.
Disagree. As driverless cars become the norm, I reckon cars will become even more of a status symbol - effectively a home on wheels so those who spend lots of time in them or who want to show off will be pimping them up with all sorts of crap inside - home cinema on wheels?
The use of energy/natural resources will either be very different or we will have slipped into some sort of Waterworld/Mad Max apocalypse scenario.Either way we'll look back on how we behaved now as very naive.
Living on state pensions, whilst consuming state provided healthcare & expecting 'the state' to look after us 'free' in our dotage. The sums don't add up - too many of us are going to live on in a physical condition not conducive to life sustaining employment and with ever spiralling health bills for all the new wonder drugs available but not doing the decent thing and actually dying to clear a bit of space for the next generation.
too many of us are going to live on in a physical condition not conducive to productive employment
Interesting. But what percentage of jobs in the future will require any physical activity whatsoever except for moving maybe one finger? Once we've tackled Alzheimer's related illness then why retire anyone? We can fixed to one screen or another screen until our working lives are cut short only by that other screen with a flat line on it?
Once we've tackled Alzheimer's related illness
I reckon that's going to be some way off - at least as I understand it from friends in the medical profession, while we're making huge strides in terms of keeping people alive and working to some level, things like Alzheimers continue to occur at roughly the same age/rate.

True - but by 'physical condition' I guess I also included mental condition. - a bit of dementia or just good old fashioned fatigue. Assuming they could be trained on the IT systems required how many 80 odd yr olds today would be considered valuable employees in sedentary jobs? edit to your edit - and like nemesis I see science fixing us to make us physically sustainable long before we are at the same position with mental longevity.
+1 for politicians.
UKIP
Shooting fishing etc
Retirement.
I'm not sure a lot of the H@S bs is actually real HSE The it's more of nobs overthinking than the actual real HSE guidelines...
I'm not sure there's much more than can actualy be deemed unacceptable other than smoking/drinking and that makes too much money....nearly everything else has pretty much been sown up....
I do find it funny thou that what was unacceptable a while back ... 24 hr drinking,24 hr online gambling and mental apr payday loans is acceptable
Pursuing a woefully counterproductive 'war on drugs'.
Christmas
There was a programme on TV the other night called the 12 Drinks of Christmas. It was Alexander Armstrong and Giles Coren getting gloriously pissed whilst making all sorts of potent concoctions. Really funny but I thought at the time this is going to be on one of those clip shows in 20 years time when shocked people look back on our irresponsible behaviour, just like we look back at shows like Mind Your Language now.
I remember "mind your language " it was as funny as Miranda .....
Ultimate classic is probably "love they neighbour " for bad taste ..
(Edit : I dont find Miranda funny )
Stupidity
Using internal combustion engines?
smelly old people
Wearing gender specific clothing.
Intelligence once the flynn effect has gone into reverse.
Belief in a religion, with any luck.
[quote=ninfan ]Annual product cycles (ie launching a new model every year with different colour scheme rather than a rolling upgrade)
Good point. Advances in the supply chain will presumably allow them to do work on a biannual or shorter product cycle.

People still do that? ๐ฏ
Glass also, possibly.
I'm still racking my brains trying to work out how, exactly, glass could be unacceptable.
Unless, of course, the intention was to put the word Google in front, in which case it's a moot point, as Google have themselves torched the whole project because it became one big cluster***.
Allowing belief in an imaginary friend to encourage hideous behaviour.
Textspeak.
Poor spelling in tweets.
The use of the word "stoked" for anything other than stove related topics.
Using public parks as dog toilets
Social media will seem quaint... as will smartphones.
Possible that English as the dominant global language will seem old-fashioned. 'What you weren't all taught Mandarin?'
Buying pre-manufactured goods of all kinds from a central maker somewhere the other side of the world, rather than downloading the design and printing it yourself or popping down to your community print shop.
Being able to take the train to London instead of going to see it in a tourist submarine after global warming's done it's thing ๐
Owning a 29er.
****ing on buses
Wood burning stoves, even if we could teach numpties how to use them correctly they are still a c***ish idea.
Pushing old folk / dog walker off trails, as you fly past shouting STRAVA
Belief in a religion, with any luck.
I'm more hopeful of seeing and end to proselytising atheists. Atheism is fine, kidding yourself that its some kind of achievement, that you're bettered by it, and that other people would be bettered by it is just embarrassing. Any simpleton can be an atheist, even me, I find it very easy indeed. Manners however - they seem to take a bit of effort.

Beautifully put.
^aaaaaand we're off!
The Pope.
Sorry if my opinion offended you. I'm not an atheist.
Absolute belief there is no God requires as much faith as absolute belief there is a god. I probably should have written 'organised' religion.
Purely profiting from others beliefs. Unescessary, superstitious protection racket. If it wasn't for tradition, it would be outlawed.

Premiership football?

No it doesn't. It doesn't rely on faith at all.

Your right but having faith in a falsehood without evidence is an achievement in belief over substance or mind over matter[ of fact] if you prefer.
As for manners when I start telling them they will burn for an eternity in hell for not agreeing with me feel free to give me that lecture.
They can believe what they want if they leave me the **** alone and shut the **** up about it.
