NEVER EVER buy a PC fRom Mesh.

6 weeks and still no delivery date, clueless service advisors, long hold times on calls I am paying for. Refund can't be processed for 7 days apparently, advisors that cut you off because you are getting pissy.

Jeez i'm annoyed, how do companies make money this way?

So come on who should I go to that could deliver a PC within 14 days, custom ish spec about £1.5k?

I'd chekc distance sellign regs and if they took money at time of order I think they only have 28 days to deliver?

Talk to them and say you'll be callingtheir local tradign standards to discuss.

If you paid with a credit card call card company and say that goods have failed to be delivered and they'll sort it out for you too...

Ebuyer, If it REALLY has to be custom just select all the bits and build it yourself, if its in stock they deliver next day for orders up to 6.00PM or some such time.

Yeah looked at Novatech but my mate had issues with them too. Tried searching locally for a good specialist shop but they seem non existant these days.

Whats custom about it then ?

Cant be much more than the graphics and drive configuration, both easy DIY jobs ?

I've bought a laptop from Mesh and the aftersales was good.

It had a faulty harddrive, I ended up returning it to the manufacturer's (MSI) servicing department, and they said they'd look into it and repair it if necessary. I called Mesh to whinge and they told me not to worry about the repair, and sent me out a new laptop from their stock which arrive the next day.

But either one of us could be the exception!!!

I've bought stuff from www.scan.co.uk too, and the service from them was excellent...highly recommended.

Yeah pretty much, not full custom, just took a hex core PC and added lots of lovely video cards, cooling and over clocking, oh and a big monitor.

Not really confident enough to build my own.

It doesn't seem alot cheaper to build youself, although I guess it's quicker!

If your no good at that then look at http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ they have weekly deals.

Plenty of specialist shops still out there.

If you ever come anywhere near Newport S. Wales I could build you something up, pre overclocked, fully guaranteed etc etc. Drop me an email if you want a quote.

Where's "local"?

I use Scan a lot, but in person rather than mail order as they're within kicking distance and their delivery used to be stupidly expensive (last time I looked, about ten years ago).

I've used these people for components, they're pretty reliable, but I do live near enough not to rely on mail order. http://www.cclonline.com/product-categories.asp?category_id=81

I got our teams non-standard workstations direct from HP and I have to say they have been excellent so far.

I've used Scan & Novatech to good effect for bits. It's easy building up a PC from scratch anyhow, if you fancy that route.
