Been trying to do this myself, and failing dismally. Basically, I have an image, which I'd like to strip away the background from and leave just the central character. It's also ever so slightly pixellated so tidying that up a little would be good (the original would be brushstrokes so the edges are supposed to be a little messy)
I really have no idea how much work this is to someone who has a clue, but I'm tearing my hair out. It's only got to print cleanly about 50mm per side so the quality doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be... Well, better than this:

(It is the "North Wind" symbol as used in a mahjong set... And I'd like basically just the central, black, character, on a white backdrop. It's going on one of my bikes as a replacement headbadge.)
Anyone fancy it? Abuse, funny misinterpretations and totally unhelpful responses also welcomed, I know my place.

I've used Fiverr for this sort of thing before, to pretty good results.
