Was going to pop down, but didn't make it. Shame that it ends our 10 game winning streak. Still, it's looking slightly more favourable for the Heineken cup since our win over Toulouse.

Very impressive sell out. These big games are needed, but i'm convinced average crowds in the Premiership have been dropping over the last few years once such games are taken out of the equation.

That's a massive gate for a rugby match! Jeeze.

I din't even think Twickers could hold that many people!

Scamper, there were a huge number at Parc y Scarlets the other day too. There are still good crowds at many clubs, just not all. Leicester always get a good gate, as do Northampton.

I have been in a 100 000+ crowd for a rugby match - Scotland / Wales in the mid 70s. Huge crush and the last game were you could just pay on the gate and go in. Not really the same as a club match tho

Edinburgh and Glasgow asr growing their crowds - 13 000 yesterday at Murrayfelid

Glaws sold out on Boxing Day at 16500 (although only technically as at least once STH didn't go). Problem is, this now only happens once, possibly twice a season. I'd hazard a guess average Premiership/HC at Gloucester which is as good a barometer as any, have slipped fron circa 14 to 11-12k.
