Somebody please help me out, who was the 70’s/80’s comedian who did a sketch whilst dressed one side of his body as one character and the other half another character (maybe half german soldier and half drag queen?) Their face makeup was also half and half and they’d turn from left to right switching between characters?

We’re having an “odd shoe” day in the office today and I just told my FD that he looks half nazi & half drag queen, but need to put my crap joke into context before his simmering anger gets me sacked. 😕

Cheers!

Freddie Starr did it, certainly. I think Milligan also did something similar, memory is hazy.

Kenny Everett did it with one half ln stockings etc and one half as a suited businessman, IIRC.

Seems we might get a shorter answer if we rephrase the question slightly.

Somebody please help me out, who was the 70’s/80’s comedian who didn't do a sketch whilst dressed one side of his body as one character and the other half another character?

It was Ronnie Barker. He did the "And it's good night from me and goodnight from me" gag with it - turning round to do so.
