Do France have a really good front row (I honestly don't know) because no other team have "pulverised" the england scrum.
Agree about the back row (not a massive amount of choice, see post above) but not about foden (did you watch the scotland game?) and ashton is in obviously as Monye's injured.

They have several! To be able to have Dimitri Szarzewski on the bench speaks volumes! Add in Domingo, Mas, Poux, Servat et al and you get the idea!

Backhander,France have a REALLY scary front row.Errr...England don't! Shaw will have to concentrate on the tight,I don't know how much of his support play we will see.

I don't really see a weakness to go after in the French team. Go after the no 10 I suppose or make Basteraud run a lot?

France look a whole level above the rest of the 6N sides and are getting better and better. Even discipline is good. If they carry on like this they must stand a good chance in the WC.

Leiveremonts selections over the last couple of years are bearing fruit -

Or do what Wales did in the second half, and drive close in to the setpieces, and basically attack. Iirc, the French defence was excellent until Wales started getting behind them. Make them keep rearranging the defence with a variety of attacking options. Wales lost the first half by repeating the same attacking moves out wide every time - easy to defend.

Does Trinh-Duc like having big forwards charging at him and making him tackle, hassling him when he has the ball? Nobody has really put pressure on him so far and England should be good at that with Moody in the back row.

What are the wingers like under high balls, again with players like Moody charging straight at them.

I'd expect France to win comfortably, but I really think that they haven't been properly tested in this championship (for a full 80 minutes), and England have the advantage that they've never been in awe of France. They could win......

England should in my humble opinion get backrow over the gainline, get quick ball a couple of times and then attack the outside shoulder of Bastarau who will find it hard to reset his position and blitz. Much easier said than done.

Some encouraging signs from wales, Warbutton looks good.
Its' becoming clear exactly how much they missed Phillips.
Still not a Hook fan though and Italy aren't playing very well at all.

No still not, he has a decent turn of pace and hand off but he's greedy and his decision making aint great (just my opinion). 2 x 3 meter run ins don't massively impress me. It was really nice to see the young guys get a good run and shane look like he could play into his 40s! Good decision to give SJ MOTM, great player. Italy looked dreadful today.

For me that was classic Hook- make great plays then makes awful ones - sometimes even in the same move. He needs to be less greedy and pass more.

Woohoo a game of running rugby is happening. Both sides shifting it about and early score advantage to Scotland but Ireland look blooming dangerous.

YEEEESSWSSSSSSS!

fine win. Scots get something for all their hard work. The best match of the championship? France have played better rugby but there was some good rugby in that game and the result in doubt to the end - and positive play rewarded. It wasn't lost on mistakes it ws won by positive play.

Turnovers in the loose and at the lineout the key.

Killer bees rule!

Unlucky Darcy beaten by the worst team in the championship ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thought Wales did very well, Hook redeemed himself for his greed, Warburton very very good, Phillips is like an extra forward, I know it was Italy but pleased with that ๐Ÿ˜€ actually Italy arent that bad, bit of a curates egg.

Pigface, I'm taking my beating like a gentleman. There's nothing more to say. Scotland did the job today...no point in whinging or pointing out the obvious to those to whom it needs pointing out. The Scots should be allowed to enjoy that victory.

Darcy is that like in one of those specialist gentlemans clubs? ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Enjoyed that game immensely, well fought Scotland, Ireland just looked a bit tight. Great game and a hell of a party in Dublin.

Well possibly, but if you know you have the ability to take on and punch through a defensive line and score, then you might as well try. He has scored several times this championship doing exactly that, so give him some credit.

I think I'm juat a little pissed at hook for not giving the young lad a try on his debut.
The ire/scot game was brilliant, well deserved win.
Now to face up to the reality of france. Eek! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
I just hope it can match the entertainment value of the last two games.

for once backhander I agree with you. Hook should have put in Prydie for a debut try.

Can I just add a complement to Gethins performance, what a player, easily wales best player.

Wales can go forward with confidence 6 nations was a disaster for injuries, but we have developed Hook into the centre, Paul James has stepped up as has Bradley Davies, Warbuton looks good, Delve OK. Just need another 3 worthy of the name, bring in Biggar to develop a back to Jones and another 15.

There you go. What have I been saying (to anyone who'll listen!) - pass the ball down the line to the wing.. TRY!
The basics.
However, it looks almost certain that this overly fussy, petty referee is probably going to give the game to France.

Basic, and easy to defend against.. it LOOKS like that's all you have to do, but it's more complex than that as I have to explain to my dad every time we watch a game.

Can't wait for Moore to ref so we can all complain about the things he misses...
