can anyone not welsh or french confirm whether thats one of the shittest games ever. France have done nothing of any note, good scrum and good defence and wales have huffed and puffed and done **** all. How France have got 20 points is beyond me.

Well thats kind of stating the bleedin obvious thanks. What I mean is that its a sad indictment of the modern game that a team that has attempted to do nothing is 20 points up

Bugger... was getting exciting for a bit there, but a couple of bloody silly errors from the Welsh, plus a bombed try, not really good enough to finish the French off ๐Ÿ™

Franc e good except for ten mins. control and discipline - not two words normally associated with teh French but two things a real top side needs..

They look the best team by far and smothered Wales today. Solid forwards, blitz defence error free at the back. didn't need to get out of second gear.

the theme is teams keep beating wales cause wales are so shit they dont need to play. France did the square root of **** all for the vast majority of that game were 20 points up. Wales are making so many basic errors teams dont need to play well.

I would like to say well done to Bradley Davies who I thought did his mum proud

I thought wales made a brave effort, there's no shame in losing to a team of that quality. If the welsh could only play properly from the first whistle they'd be laughing. Unfortunately they were outplayed by an outstanding french side (who the welsh nearly took down).
Don't get me wrong, this french team will rip england apart and I'm not looking forward to it. Well done wales IMO.

i didn't think france were that good. they were good in defence 1st half, but 2nd half wales made them look ordinary. they never looked like scoring other than the 2 gifted tries. if lee byrne could kick into touch the result may have been very different.

i'm not sure if wales were brilliant 2nd half or if france were just lucky 1st half.
i don't think any team have looked that good as yet, but there have been plenty of entertaining games. really enjoyed it so far this year.

Hmm, not sure I agree.. France defended pretty well although they did make some glaring errors.

My personal feeling is that Wales are trying to work out how to play the rugby they want to play in time for the world cup, and not worrying too much about this year's 6N. Loads of fancy stuff was tried and it kept not quite going to hand - but they still kept trying. Looked a bit like training to me.

France were far too good for wales for most of that game, but the problem is they'll get shredded, against the likes of nz if they try that. Mind you they tried to play rugby against nz in november and look what happend.

If France don't keep a lid on the errors then yes they'll get shredded.

WTF are you talking about?

No, they'll get humped if they just try to defend, but they tried to play too much rugby in November and NZ destroyed them, they need to get the balance right. NZ wouldnt give them two tries. They hardly put any consistent pressure on Wales last night, OK they didnt need to, but they should be looking at the bigger picture and that sort of display wont cut it against good teams.

Exactly the feeling that I came away with last night.

What worries me is why they need to go into the half time break before anybody can work out how to play against the opposition. It didn't take a genius to see how France were defending, and therefore how to counter it, so why didn't the players see that OR why didn't the coaches pass the word down before half time?

I've complained about refs many times, but I'd love to know how Kaplan could justify a penalty count of 7:1 at half time. On my TV, I could see the French coming in from the sides, killing ball, lazy retreating at rucks etc, obviously the ref couldn't. Their defence was good because a lot of the time they were just that little bit offside.

The ref killed Wales in the first half, and part of their comeback was due to the fact that he attempted to even up the penalty count in the second half.

Having said that, Wales didn't deserve to win. TWO interception tries is ridiculous at this level.

Hopefully we'll see two good games today. Sorry, Scots and English guys, but I'm supporting Ireland and Italy. (Ancestors from Ireland, and errrrm, I like Rome??)

Many people left Scotchland to go to NZ, so you never know....! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I agree, though, Nicol is a prime c0ck and there's no balance to the commentary today at all!

Bu66er.

I do like Italy to win some matches but could they please beat someone else next time?

Good win for Italy. Scotland looked without cutting edge how they missed Lamont and Evans! Danelli/ southwell is distinctly less threatening.

Indeed and two loosing teams have outside halfs who totally limit the attacking game, the other team has a shit pack of forwards

Wins in Twickenham don't come easily so I'll take that. It wasn't pretty, but we still scored three lovely tries. Ireland's domination over English rugby, both in 6N and HC continues. And I ****in love it.
