Sorry but ordinary cars are just that, ordinary. And boring.
I like top gear because it shows off some fantastic and quiry cars, not just the latest modeo or vectra.
Would you also prefer to watch Golf rather than DH racing as well?
Bad analogy. There are many disciplines of bikes- what if I preferred watching BMX rather than UCI DH? No suspension on the bikes, no glamorous settings..
There's no such thing as an ordinary car any more. They're all fantastic bits of engineering and design. That's why I like car shows and stuff like 5th gear.
