Any recommendations, looking for a hatch mounted

I wouldn't recommend a hatch mount on an XC60. The roof spoiler on ours is plastic and the straps would have to go across it. This could flex and cause it to either break or loosen enough to come undone. Safest is the towbar mount, to be honest.

I thought as much but don't have a tow bar fitted.

Luckily ours came with a hidden towbar, which is great, as the V50 before it came with a fixed one, which I still bear the scars on my shins . Not sure how much they are, but is definitely worth the expenditure if you are keeping the car.
