24 hour stop over with 2 brats in tow - what are the 'must do's' to see / do when there?

doing a web search now but real life experiences would be more than welcomed!

thank you!

The Singapore Zoo 'Night Safari' was one of my highlights.

Its been few years since I was there last but the you must try some Dorian fruit if in season. I didn't like it but they say it is the king of fruits!

Raffles is another place to go to or just take a tour of the island. It might be the best think as you are only there for 24hrs.

Sentosa Island via cable car is a good trip. My wife was terrified and so was I but well worth the trip.

The list goes on as 24hrs is not really enough.

Sentosa or the zoo are the easy options. The new river safari is good as is the night safari, all located at the zoo. Plenty to do on Sentosa for families. Gardens by the Bay is good too. Singapore Science Centre is also fab.

Special massage? Ah, maybe not with the Kids 😯

Sentosa was good, shopping malls were what mine wanted, avoid the reptile centre on/near Sentosa, it was grim when we went a few years back

There have been a few threads on here. I lived there for 2 years.

Night zoo is a good call with the kids. The food there is ok so go earlier for dinner. Be wary that a combination of jet lag and heat/humidity will be quite exhausting. A stroll around China Town, Little India & surrounding traditional streets and The Arab quarter would be worthwhile, taxi between each. A visit to the big red temple in China Town and a look at the Indian temple just down the road would be worthwhile. The Asian Civilaisation museum would be a decent shelter from the heat. I believe there is a pool at the airport which is open to travellers. If you are there at night but not going to zoo (or kids can stay up to go after) the skyline from the Esplanade (theatre / mall) is spectacular. A few good restaurants there inc an Italian place which does good pizza (Bar Rosa).

Deffo get a ticket to the viewing deck of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
It is amazing! Unfortunately the infinity pool is for residents only.

As said, the humidity & heat make walking around all day pretty unbearable so make use of the tube trains (a change of clothes isn't a bad idea either). Also, you're never far from a shopping mall and they know how to do proper aircon there. It's like walking into cold storage. The other good thing about the shopping malls is the food halls. They are cheap & excellent quality for a quick Asian meal.
At the airport after your long day, I highly recommend paying to use the rainforest lounge. It's cheap but has excellent shower facilities & afterwards you are free to help yourself to the buffet & soft drinks.

East Coast Lagoon Food Village or Maxwell Rd hawker centre are good places for dinner (cheap and atmospheric and very SG), so long as your kids aren't too pissy about food.

The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is quite something - I had an amazing meal (private dinning on viewing deck) on a business trip there late last year. There is also a night time laser/fireworks show at the bottom of the MSB in the evenings.

@budgierider makes a good point about the food in the malls, its generally quite good. Locals use the free mall ac to keep cool and the locals do like to eat. Whilst most of us wouldn't head for a mall to eat the Singaporeans do. The true local experience is to eat in a food court/hawker centre, the one at Maxwell Road near China town is quite good (I used to live next to it), just join the biggest queue and have what they are having. You'll struggle to spend £5 a head.

It's a casual place, shorts, sandals and t-shirts are ok pretty much anywhere including restaurants. The average UK cotton t-shirt is too hot, either much thinner or man made fabrics. Rohan in the UK is the only place I found to see suitably cool stuff and to be honest I bought most of my clothes out there.
