Just read the end of the overtaking thread and it appears there's one or two people who have a second login (I think, I'm not very bright) while I know it's against the rules so you shouldn't, but actually why do people have multiples? What on earth is the point (genuine question)
As a side note, I used to call myself something different on here, but linked a few work references to it without thinking, so I have superseded my login and now can't even remember the password for the old one so I don't think I'm quite playing the same game.
mainly so they
a) have a back up login if one gets banned
b) can say controversial stuff/upset people without beign seen to do it
c) agree with themselves in a debate and look like they have support
d) not get any comeback on classfied sales to their main forum profile (and vice versa).
Do you have any particular suspects in mind?
Personally, I'm quite happy with the one I have, although I wish I could change my screen name to Hugh Zarst. Not sure what I'd do with two log-ins.

I find that my four logins give me the opportunity to have four different points of view. My favourite is the postit salesman.
I technically have two, but can't get access to unklehomer, must have put a typo in the email or something... so this one for the last 3 years.

I made a spare ages ago, shortly after they stopped you changing the name on every post but I don't think I ever used it and it'll have died after the hack
I get accusedof this as there are at least two peeps in my building on here who share the same ip addres, although never been accused of it by the mighty powerful ones.

Don't really care about multiple logins, but I would like to change my screen name/user name. I did it once, but found I had problems accessing the site switching between my laptop and my old Nokia, so I stayed with this one.
Not sure if I'd have stuck with Xipe Totec, the other one I used either, but I have an alternative that I'd prefer to use now.
Still, in the overall scheme of things, it's a first-world problem, innit. 😀

I can't speak for everyone, but I doubt very much that "telling" the mods will get you far.
For a variety of long and boring reasons, username change requests will be granted only in very exceptional circumstances. Username change demands will be most likely be ignored.
