Me and Mrs Surfer have most of tomorrow in the Lakes (after dropping kids at school). An overnight stay in Troutbeck then all day Saturday getting back after tea.

What routes would you do??

If the weather is good I like the Langdale Horseshoe - head up Pavey Ark if you like scrambling.

I'd try to escape the crowds and go somewhere different:
- Lythe Valley
- Dunnerdale
- Coledale Round
- Newlands Valley
- back of Skiddaw & Blencathra is nice too
If you don't want to drive very far then the Kentmere Horseshoe is fab but a long walk, you'll need an early start as parking by the church is limited. Bring a flask and plenty of food and soak up the views.
You could go to Longsleddale or the other Borrowdale (off the A6 east of Staveley) if you want near to Troutbeck and quiet
If you just want to stretch your legs then Tarn Hows is nice.
