Looking to pick one up for my holiday end of the month.

Best place to buy a genuine 16gb stick not a 4gb reformatted ?

Amazon and Ebay are out.

Maplins had a huge poster in the window as I passed stating half price on their 16 and 32gb cards?

Must be some other cards, Pro duo aren't on offer.

Best i've found is £45 @ Argos for a Sandisk 16gb.

Seems to about right. I've had good experiences with memorybits, they're showing £47 for the same card.

What do you have that takes those, anyway?

I think at fifty quid for a 16Gb card, I'd be throwing it in the bin and buying an IXUS.

All i want is more space for more pics and video, don't need/want a wifi camera with a billion features.

Fair enough. You'll have to pay fifty quid for a 16Gb memory card rather than seven, then.

You can get an IXUS for £60, which is an upgrade to the Sony and doesn't require eye-wateringly expensive proprietary memory. 's where my money would be going.

I'm with Cougar, fifty squids for 16Gb is daft, when you can get a 32Gb SDHC for under twenty now.
Sony's proprietary memory was always stupidly pricey.

How about a Memory Stick to Micro Sd adapter, I've got one but I can't remember where I got it from.
