This isn't Leatt's first helmet with a removable chin guard.
Their DBX 3.0 has one, though it isn't DH certified.

What does DH certified mean, is there an independent standard?

We have a couple of Leatt helmets in the house - they are really neatly made and simple designs that I am a fan of. I may have to get one for myself later this year.

@footflaps The Leatt 4.0 Enduro AS/NZS 2063:2008, ASTM F1952–10, EN1078 and CPSC 1203 Certified. Generally, it's the ASTM F1952 that is considered 'DH certified' because that's what US DH races demand. The EN certification isn't accepted in USA Cycling registered races unless it's a UCI registered race.
