If you were riding for 3 days from Ainsa, what trails would you recommend? We'll be looking to book a couple of uplifts per day and would want to do 1 or more of the more expensive high alpine options. Happy with some peddling too.

It seems there are 100s to chose from, so after some variety that really shows the area. I realise 'must ride' is probably an inflammatory phrase on STW, but you know what I mean.

2 experienced riders, but not looking to hire a guide (cost, sorry). We're OK with tech, flow, xc, whatever - looking for a mix.

Cheers

I’m there for two weeks government permitted in a week, unfortunately I’ve buggered up my knee so I’ll just be doing the blues and greens with the kids. So if anyone has recommendedations of the best ones to do with kids( they can ride easy reds like Glebtress, Cannock and Llandegla)

Spekkie who posts on here lives out there. It may be that he can point you in the right direction.
When we were out a couple of years ago when Abigale was competing we found the trails were well marked and the map first class however we couldn't find an uplift or guide that wasn't fully booked. Still managed a great weeks riding and it's one of the places we intend to go back for a longer stay

I did a few days there with Basque MTB, absolutely superb riding though we were making use of uplifts in the vans too. I’m sure @Doug_BasqueMTB.com could name the trails but the ones I remember were the ones which came out in Boltana from the west down the open ridgeline (think it was an enduro stage at some point) and one from the same starting point but broke left earlier and dropped in to the woods and ended up by the river.

All the trails in the badlands to the east of Ainsa were great too.

Search on YouTube for McTrailrider videos. Recall he was out there couple of years back and had a good number of POV vids from an extended visit.

Have been with the fantastic BasqueMTB crew a few times and drove down and did self-uplift with a couple of cars in 2019. The EWS stages are brilliant and are here https://www.pinkbike.com/news/the-essential-guide-to-ews-ansa-2018.html
