Hallo, i have a tues 2.0 2012 ltd edition. (26'' deemax wheelset)
The current fork is a 2012 888 rc3evo v2.
The fork's steerer tube should be 1.5 non-tapered.
YT told me that the 2012 frame uses a a ZS56/ZS56 headset.

1) what fork steerer tube is compatible?

2) What 2016-2017 single crown 180mm fork can i put on the bike?

As it's a 1.5" steerer tube currently any of the new 180mm forks would fit but you would need to change the top part of the headset to take a normal tapered steerer.
Not many forks out there with a 1.5" steerer tube.

You could pick up a secondhand Totem with a 1.5in steerer, I used to have one and it was great.

Otherwise I'd look at a Marz 66 RC3 ti and adapting the headset as stevied suggests.

Is the frame adaptable to other headsets?

i see that the fox 36 float is 1.5 tapered. (moreover it is compatible with 20mm axle)

http://www.ridefox.com/2016/family.php?m=bike&family=36

what modification would i need?

That for is a 1.5" taper meaning 1.5" at the bottom, smaller at the top. It's not a full 1.5" steerer.

You just need a new headset cup for the top

thanks guys! can you gine me an idea of a headset that will do the trick?

Also except for the fox float 36 (and discontinued totem and marz 66), what other 180mm 26'' fork is there?

Are you absolutely sure the 888's had a 1.5" steerer tube? I might be wrong and it might be some wierd fork, but the 888 should be a 1.1/8. The frame will take a 1.5" if needed, but DH forks don't because it offers little benefit to dual crown forks.

Not sure if you can still get a Fox Vanilla 36 in 180mm?

Xfusion metric is a 180mm fork with 20mm maxle.
No idea on headset sizes, that's a black art as far as I'm concerned.
