Are you aware of the 2026 cut-off date ?
Kirklees Bridleway Group has user evidence forms on its website, if you have ridden any of these tracks which are currently recorded as footpaths we need your help in proving our legal rights. We as a bridleway group are submitting Definitive map modification orders, to upgrade incorrectly recorded footpaths into Bridleways. You may have come across a locked and chained gate in Wilshaw which connects to Honley with a sign on it which states No Horses or Cycles allowed public Footpath only, we have ridden this for over 50 years it is a walled track 18 feet wide. www.kirkleesbridlewaysgroup.co.uk - download the user evidence form fill it in and send it to the council. Thank you .
We are aware that this is a National forum please help your local Bridleway group if you can. The Colne Valley mountain bike challenge uses several Bridleways which were established and correctly recorded by Kirklees
Bridleways Group... Have a great ride on the 14th.

Have you looked at the Holmfirth area Enclosure Awards at the West Yorkshire Archives. Loads of information in there, and pretty conclusive
