I don't actually need a new bike, but it seems like it would be rude not to partake.

So - the runners and riders are:
1. Hefty 'core steel hardtail which can handle 1ft drops with a lardy pilot on board;
2. A cargo bike of some description - Kona Ute prolly; or
3. A new commuter.

Ideas and suggestion for any of the above - and no I don't want a cross bike, been there done that, didny like it.

"hardtail which can handle 1ft drops with a lardy pilot on board"
Thats just about anything then ..
Up that to (2-)3ft drops and a hardcore hardtail makes more sense

What do you currently have, where do you ride?

Kona Ute and commute with it
